Call for Works 2024
LOXOS~ promotes the EIGHTH edition of the MA/IN festival – 2024. The call is dedicated to acousmatic and instrumental sound works involving live or prerecorded electronic/multimedia elements. The call is also open to experimental audiovisual works, multimendial performances, and sound/multimedia installations.
This year, the festival has two active collaborations with the CRM (Centro di Ricerche Musicali) in Rome and TempoReale (production center - Florence), which will include selected acousmatic and audiovisual works in their programs during:
1. "Artescienza 2024" Festival: July 2024, Rome [acousmatic / audiovisual]
2. Tempo Reale Festival: September-December 2024, Florence [acousmatic]
CATEGORIES
[A] Acousmatic ~ fixed media music. Multi-channel compositions are accepted.
[B] Mixed Media ~ for instruments and electronics/ multimedia (fixed or live).
[C] AudioVisual ~ works with pre-prepared video and music.
[D] LivePerformance/SoundArt ~ works that include electronics and other elements. Sound/Media Installations are allowed .
PRIZES
The organization will make available a “TRAVEL GRANT” fund of 3000€ (in total) to support awarded artists’ travels.
