/// AETERNA [live performance] This performance orchestrates light and sound, creating a tapestry of multimedia interconnections. While the light illuminates our visceral and biological relationship with electricity, the ephemeral sound becomes a representation of metamorphosis, a manifestation that fades into the present, to return in the form of memory and emotion, forming new bioelectric connections. In this hypnotic journey, the ephemeral is not consigned to oblivion, but is perpetuated in the representation of eternal change.
Lorenzo Ballerini and Massimo D’Amato formano un duo artistico che esplora il suono contemporaneo attraverso installazioni e performance multimediali. Il loro lavoro invita il pubblico a immergersi in nuove dimensioni sensoriali, fondendo elementi fisici e digitali in paesaggi sonori coinvolgenti. Spinti da una passione condivisa per l'espressione innovativa, sfocano i confini tra musica, arte e tecnologia. Come duo, hanno presentato le loro creazioni in festival internazionali come ADE, Bright, Diffrazioni e Gaida Festival.

/// SYNSPECIES [audiovisual performance] The self-titled audiovisual performance Synspecies explores unnatural oneiric fields inhabited by multi-scaled audiovisual objects that are cross pollinating, mutating, adopting and fighting for their space and existence. They co- create a world of unreal physicality that is constantly kneaded by violent forces. Their existence appears to us as fractured narratives in the perceptual phenomena that resemble a chain of synchronised chaos. SYNSPECIES feed on tangles made by computer-based code and analogue signals. They originate from algorithmic computer-generated sound, Stockholm’s EMS Buchla and Serge modular systems, and 3D geometry synthesis. The vivid abstract architectures of SYNSPECIES fluctuate in an ambiguous pulsating time, hybridising and shaping new spaces confined in a perpetual disintegration process. This project explores the states of bewilderment and the viscerality, framed in an sacred vastness.
Tadej Droljc , of Slovenian origin but artistically trained in England, is an audiovisual artist working in the field of interactive multimedia installations. A distinctive feature of his artistic path is a non-hierarchical approach to real-time audiovisual compositions.
His works have been presented at Ars Electronica, L.E.V. Festival, Brighton Digital Festival, Semibreve, Galerija Kapelica, Madatac, and Athens Digital Arts Festival, among others. Recently, Tadej won the Lumen Prize and the Dennis Smalley Scholarship, and he is a researcher in audiovisual composition at the Center for Research in New Music at the University of Huddersfield, England.
Elias Merino is a composer and sound artist from Spain, based in Madrid. His artistic practice includes installation elements, live performances, and a compositional approach that serves as a bridge between computer music, generative algorithms, and contemporary electronic music. His productions explore fragmentary narratives, space-time perceptual alterations, trance states, and immersive contemplation. Alongside his solo work, which has led him to perform at festivals such as Sonar, MUTEK, L.E.V., Semibreve, among others, Elias Merino is also engaged in collaborative projects, including one with Rian Treanor (Grievous Bodily Harmonics), and especially with Tadej Droljc, with whom he forms the av duo SYNSPECIES.
