Over more than three decades\, Fennesz has redefined the possibilities of the electric guitar\, transforming it through digital processing into vast\, immersive soundscapes where melody\, noise\, and texture merge seamlessly. Mosaic unfolds as a series of interconnected sonic fragments—shimmering harmonies\, fractured rhythms\, and luminous distortions that constantly shift between abstraction and emotional immediacy. Rather than reproducing the album on stage\, Fennesz’s live performances evolve in the moment\, balancing meticulous sound design with improvisation and spontaneity. The result is a deeply atmospheric experience that invites listeners into a world where fragile beauty emerges from digital complexity\, confirming Fennesz as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary electronic music.\nFENNESZ ///  is the solo project of Austrian musician\, composer\, and sound artist Christian Fennesz (b. 1962\, Vienna). Since the early 1990s\, he has been one of the most influential figures in electronic and experimental music\, renowned for his distinctive fusion of guitar\, digital processing\, noise\, and ambient textures. International recognition came with Endless Summer (2001)\, now regarded as a landmark of electronic music. Acclaimed albums including Venice (2004)\, Black Sea (2008)\, Bécs (2014)\, Agora (2019)\, and Mosaic (2024) further developed his singular sonic language. Alongside his solo work\, Fennesz has collaborated with artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto\, Alva Noto\, David Sylvian\, Jim O’Rourke\, Keith Rowe\, King Midas Sound\, and Lillevan. Performing worldwide for over three decades\, his live shows combine improvisation\, intricate sound design\, and emotional depth\, establishing him as one of the defining voices in contemporary electronic music. \n\nBreath VI [mixed media] /// Since 2020\, I have been developing a composition series titled Breath. This series explores the delicate interplay between noise and pitch\, aiming to articulate the subtle nuances and gentle gestures of sound. My goal is to weave together diverse sonic materials\, creating a rich mosaic where each sound resonates with purpose. By 2024\, I had composed six pieces in the Breath series\, each employing distinct instrumentation for varied sonic purposes\, providing multiple musical and conceptual perspectives on the theme of “breath.” Breath VI\, composed for accordion virtuoso Anthony Millet\, premiered at the ManiFeste Academy Festival\, IRCAM in June 2024. In this piece\, I employ electronics as an inner voice within the sound envelope\, enhancing the acoustic instrument with vivid and nuanced movements of inner voices. The fixed media and live electronics animate the accordion’s sound\, transforming the soundscape into a variety of sonic shapes\, gestures\, and expressions\, thereby adding depth to the sound.\nGeli Li /// is a Chinese-American composer whose musical journey spans Asia\, Europe\, and the United States. With over two decades of experience as a contemporary classical composer\, she has cultivated a prolific portfolio spanning both acoustic and electronic media\, advancing Eastern and Western musical traditions through a distinctive contemporary idiom. Her works have been performed by more than forty leading ensembles and orchestras worldwide\, including Talea Ensemble\, Klangforum Wien\, Alarm Will Sound\, and Orchestra of St. Luke’s\, among others.\n Recognized with more than fifty honors and distinctions\, her work has received awards including the Henri Lazarof International Commission Prize and the Luigi Nono International Composition Prize\, and has been supported through fellowships\, residencies\, and commissions at the Gaudeamus Festival\, DeGaetano Composition Institute\, Copland House\, the Mizzou International Composers Festival\, IRCAM’s ManiFeste\, the Rodamúsic Composers Residency in Spain\, and the Intimacy of Creativity at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.\nMichele Bianco/// graduated with honors in accordion from the “T. As these systems collide\, they overflow into one another: virtual and physical domains interfere\, clash\, and permeate each other\, generating hybrid forms. These bodies drift between the fragile and the tectonic\, suspended through exchanges of energy and dancing on the threshold of stability. The work unfolds as an osmotic field of tension—a continuous becoming shaped by visceral forces intertwined with a technologically mediated reality. Drawing from both old and new ideas\, resampled material\, and recontextualized fragments of previous works\, Osmotic Bodies treats memory itself as an osmotic field—eroded\, shaped\, and constantly reassembled.\nTadej Droljc /// is a Slovenian artist and creative coder working at the intersection of sound\, image\, and light. His work has received the Lumen Prize Student Award\, the Dennis Smalley Scholarship for Electroacoustic Music (UK)\, and the Most Promising Video Artist Award at Madatac (Madrid). He completed his PhD at the Centre for Research in New Music (CeReNeM)\, University of Huddersfield (UK)\, receiving an award for outstanding research. His collaborative project Synspecies won the Edigma Semibreve Award and was shortlisted for the Lumen Prize. Tadej has presented his work at festivals including Mutek Montreal and Mexico\, Ars Electronica Linz\, NEMO Paris\, Signal Prague\, Sónar Istanbul\, L.E.V. Madrid and Gijón\, Deep Space Shanghai\, Semibreve Braga\, Lunchmeat Prague\, WeSA Seoul\, and others. Through his collaboration with Ars Electronica Futurelab on the Immersify project\, his work has also been presented at Inter BEE Tokyo\, IBC Amsterdam\, and the Marché du Film – Festival de Cannes \n\n/// human.exist = False  I am watching a video on Instagram: a child falls from a high-rise building\, caught by a passing stranger. The crowd is shocked and in tears\, and my own eyes are welling up with relief. The video loops\, and then I spot it—a sixth finger on the saviour’s hand. I’m crying for an algorithm (again). The piece is born from that daily glitch in reality\, where the simulation looks so terrifyingly real that we don’t even realise we’re pouring very real emotions into code.\nMariam Gviniashvili /// is a composer and sound artist working across electroacoustic and instrumental music\, spatial audio\, and multimedia. Her work focuses on the physical and emotional dimensions of sound and space\, often integrating visuals and live performance. Her work has been presented internationally at festivals and venues\, including Radio France\, IRCAM\, Ars Electronica\, Sonic Acts\, Borealis Festival\, EMPAC\, the NYCEMF\, BEAST FEaST\, Cube Fest\, Transitions at CCRMA\, ICMC\, Mixtur Festival\, Heroines of Sound and Ultima Festival. Gviniashvili is the recipient of two Honorary Mentions from Prix Ars Electronica\, the PRIX CIME\, and the Work of the Year Award from the Norwegian Society of Composers (NKF). \n  \n\n\n \n\n© Mariam Gviniashvili\n\n\n \n\n© Tadej Droljc
