Rossi\nlive electronics: Gioele Nuzzo \nh 21.30\n⦿ MARTIN MESSIER [CA] /// FIELD [►VIDEO]\nlive performance \n\nMICHELE MARCO ROSSI /// [cellist]  has established himself as one of the leading interpreters of contemporary music. He works closely with prominent composers and has significantly expanded the cello repertoire\, ranging from instrumental music to avant-garde theater\, electronic music\, and video installations. He has premiered works by Georges Aperghis\, Ivan Fedele\, Bernhard Gander\, Fabio Vacchi\, Alessandro Solbiati\, Lucia Ronchetti\, Noriko Baba\, Filippo Perocco\, Matteo Franceschini\, Vittorio Montalti\, Federico Gardella\, Zeno Baldi\, and Pasquale Corrado\, among many others. He performed the world premiere of Salvatore Sciarrino’s Linee d’aria for cello and orchestra\, composed for him\, and Ivan Fedele dedicated his 3rd Cello Concerto to Rossi. He has also collaborated with Enno Poppe\, Helmut Lachenmann\, Unsuk Chin\, Klaus Huber\, and Ennio Morricone. Rossi brings his solo recitals to all major concert seasons in Italy and premiered Luis de Pablo’s 2nd Cello Concerto with the Orchestra del Comunale di Bologna conducted by Oksana Lyniv\, Goffredo Petrassi’s Adagio e Minuetto variato with the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto conducted by Marco Angius\, and Sofia Gubaidulina’s Seven Words conducted by Kent Nagano with the Haydn Orchestra of Bolzano and Trento. He also develops cross-disciplinary projects\, collaborating with Andrea Camilleri\, Valerio Magrelli\, Nicola Piovani\, and leading Italian and international ensembles. He regularly participates in musical and educational programs on Rai Radio3\, and in 2022 he received the Abbiati Award for Recording from the Italian National Association of Music Critics for his complete recording of Ivan Fedele’s cello music (Kairos). Since 2023\, he has collaborated with Archi Magazine\, curating a series of conversations with leading contemporary composers and pursuing a cross-disciplinary project to promote contemporary music to diverse audiences\, from traditional concert seasons and experimental festivals to young listeners in schools and radio audiences. \n\n/// FIELD is based on the idea that sounds can emerge from the electromagnetic fields that are omnipresent in our environment. This performance reveals these invisible forces\, essential and imperceptible to the eye and ear\, which orchestrate our gestures and movements. Residual electrical signals are picked up by electromagnetic transducer microphones. Recorded beforehand\, they then become Martin Messier’s raw materials. On stage\, the artist interacts with two aluminum panels\, linked by a network of cables that he continually connects and disconnects\, generating a choreography of sound and light. From these repeated gestures\, a hypnotic composition emerges. Evolving in an infinite loop\, each iteration\, though familiar\, is different. The visual power of the work\, evoked by electrical conduction and lightning-like flashes of light\, plunges viewers into a state of fascination. This revelation of electromagnetic forces brings us closer to their mystery\, making the inaccessible tangible. With surgical synchronization of light and sound\, and shadow effects that animate a constantly changing landscape\, Field is a landmark project in Martin Messier’s artistic research.\nMartin Messier ///  orchestrates a dialogue between sound\, light and movement. His award-winning performances and installations (Prix Ars Electronica\, Japan Media Arts Awards…) combine technologies with natural elements – water\, smoke\, waves\, electricity – and explore the manifestation of physical phenomena. His works take the form of astonishing machines\, structures that appear minimalist or immaterial. These devices are presented at major international institutions such as Festival TransAmériques\, Trafó Budapest\, Mutek\, Transmediale\, Sonar and Nemo.\n \n\n

SUMMARY:MA/IN25 - NONOTAK

Monoscreen. 2018 Visuals : Noemi Schipfer / Music : Takami Nakamoto\nNONOTAK ///  was born from the collaboration between architect musican Takami Nakamoto and visual artist Noemi Schipfer back in late 2011. The duo embodies that merge of architecture\, spatial design\, music and sound. From creating dreamlike environments to performances using light and sound installations\, NONOTAK present their own format of art to the world. Combining Noemi Schipfer’s experience in kinetic visual and Takami Nakamato’s approach of space and sound\, the studio creates ethereal environments immersing the viewer. \n\nPercées de lumière [mixed media] /// is an audiovisual performance by composer Tomislav Oliver (music) and video artist Goran Nježić\, that explores new sonic potentials of acoustic instruments within electronic music\, composition\, and improvisation. Inspired by the “no-input mixer” practices of Toshimaru Nakamura and Marko Ciciliani\, the piece investigates feedback as it interacts with the material “architectures” of wind instruments. Treating the saxophone’s resonating chamber as a feedback generator\, the instrument is reimagined as a modular system that transcends its traditional idiom. The visual concept draws on the Espace de projection hall where the work was performed\, its modular underground design virtually deconstructed and rearranged. A 3D reconstruction of one wall was manipulated—perforated\, rotated\, relit\, and reframed—to create shifting perspectives. Echoing the sonic process\, the video recontextualizes performance space through layered experiments with light\, shadow\, and architectural fragmentation. As an homage to Gordon Matta-Clark\, the piece explores the imperceptible and the interplay of visual and auditory spaces through the poetics of feedback and the stillness of noise.\nTomislav Oliver ///  is a composer and musicologist blending electronic\, noise\, and contemporary composition. Trained at Zagreb\, Salzburg\, Barcelona\, Graz and IRCAM’s Cursus (2023)\, his works span solo\, chamber\, orchestral\, audiovisual\, and dance contexts. Founder of the NAE collective of musicians and visual artists\, he teaches at the Zagreb Music Academy and is active as a director of Music Biennale Zagreb.\nGoran Nježić ///  is active as a filmmaker\, artist\, producer\, and musician\, with numerous well-received exhibitions\, short films\, video projects and music albums. He is the co-founder of the B.A.K.A. platform\, an association focused on the production of audiovisual works and cultural projects within the regional independent art scene. He is the author of several short films\, including the award-winning When I Wake Up (2020) and The Clouds Are Far Away (2021). As a member of the bands ### and Punčke\, he has released several albums for LAA and PDV Records and has performed across Europe and Asia.\nAndrea Carrozzo [saxophone] is graduated with honors at Conservatory of Monopoli and at CRR de Lyon under the guidance of Vittorio Cerasa and Jean-Denis Michat. He is winner of several national and international competitions. He was a finalist at “ProMusica” International Saxophone Competition in Iasi (Romania). He was 1st prize at the “Adolphe Sax” International Saxophone Competition in Castelbuono (Italy) and he was seleted to participate at the 7th Concours International “Adolphe Sax” in Dinant (Belgium). He has taken part – performing in Italy and abroad (Belgium\, Croatia\, France\, Indonesia\, Romania and Spain) both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles – in many musical festivals including: “Festivalul international de Clarinet si Saxofon” in Iasi\, “Festival Silence”\, “XVIII World Saxophone Congress” in Zagreb\, “Assoli VI” organized by Accademia Filarmonica Romana\, “EiSaxional Week” (Canary Islands\, Spain)\, “Festival 5 Giornate”\, “Jeans Music Festival”\, “XIX World Saxophone Congress” in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria\, “Festival di Bellagio e del Lago di Como”\, “MaGO Sax 25”. In 2022 he recorded for Da Vinci Classics the piece “Spire VII” by Cesare Saldicco published in the CD “Spira Mirabilis”. \n\n

SUMMARY:MA/IN24 - ROBERT HENKE
DESCRIPTION:©Robert Henke\n \n🎟ticket in vendita su EVENTBRITE e disponibili in loco fino esaurimento posti\n▷ apertura porte h 20.45\n \n▷ concerto\nh 21.00\n⦿ Fabio Machiavelli [IT] /// Machines Inside Me [award of distinction]\nmixed media performance\nperformers: Endkadenz Ensemble [Alberto Anhaus e Alessandro Bono] \n \nh 21.30\n⦿ ROBERT HENKE [DE] /// DUST\nlive performance \n\n/// DUST [live performance] è un’esplorazione lenta e intensa di una trama sonora\, loop poliritmici pulsanti e droni ricchi di armonici.
Frequenta masterclass con Salvatore Sciarrino\, Francesco Filidei\, Stefano Gervasoni\, Fabien Lèvy\, Alessandro Perini\, Jaime Reis\, Thierry Coduys\, Marco Stroppa\, Miller Puckette\, Brigitta Muntendorf\, Alberto Carretero\, Alessandro Solbiati\, Ivan Fedele e altri. La sua musica è pubblicata da SZ Sugar.
